Description

Crispy on the outside, tender inside these parmesan crusted sweet potatoes are baked to perfection with Italian seasoning and garlic. A crowd-pleasing, cheesy side for any meal


Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes, scrubbed (peeling optional)

3/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice sweet potatoes into ½-inch rounds or wedges.

In a bowl, mix olive oil with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Toss sweet potatoes in the seasoned oil until well coated.

On the parchment-lined sheet, sprinkle small mounds of parmesan cheese spaced for each slice.

Press sweet potatoes cut-side down into each parmesan pile.

Bake for 25–30 minutes until cheese is golden and sweet potatoes are fork-tender.

Let cool 2 minutes before lifting gently with a spatula.

Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

 

Notes

 For best results, avoid pre-shredded cheese grate fresh parmesan yourself.

Can be reheated in the oven or air fryer to regain crispiness.

Pairs well with garlic aioli or balsamic glaze.
